Another small step for reduced emissions

Some of our brightest heads have spent the last months implementing a secure online connection to a fixed installation in the North Sea. Today the solution was put into use for testing and commissioning of an upgraded control system for a process plant. The whole procedure was carried out using remote access by our engineers in collaboration with the regular crew on board.

This meant that no extra travel activity was needed and released capacity on board for other use. Moreover, the time spent was greatly reduced for everyone involved. Remote access and support is a low-hanging fruit of sustainability, and it is our belief that a multitude of similar small steps will be what carries us forward.
