History in brief
Our journey started back in 1972, when our core team helped install Norway’s very first PLC. Since then, we’ve gained decades of hands-on experience in oil & gas industry, mastering industrial processes from the inside out.
In 2011, Eccoit was originally founded as Offshore Systems to carry that knowledge into the future. Today, our 30+ specialists, from hands-on technicians to PhDs, design automation that is standardized, open, scalable, and built for long-term value. Together, we’ve delivered control systems to more than 200 installations, always built on open, standardized technologies that ensure flexibility, scalability, and long-term value.
Turning machines into intelligent systems
We design end-to-end automation systems that let you control and monitor equipment remotely. By adding sensors and instruments, your machines can collect and send data to a PLC, where smart software interprets the signals and acts on them.
The PLC connects to a PC and a web-based HMI/SCADA system, giving operators an easy way to oversee, control, and report on the process. Step by step, we turn manual machines into smart, automated systems, making your operations more efficient and future-ready.
Automation that leaves no room for error
Manual execution always carries a risk of mistakes. Automation reduces that risk dramatically. With advanced PLC software, commands are linked into structured routines based on best practices, so your team can focus on the bigger picture instead of repetitive tasks.
Smart condition checks and automated regulators handle deviations in real time, only notifying operators when something needs attention. This proactive approach minimizes incidents and ensures consistent, reliable operations every day.
Act when necessary – not by schedule
Enhance efficiency and reduce downtime by continuously monitoring your equipment and processes. Leverage existing sensors to gain valuable insights—and where needed, integrate additional sensors such as vibration or oil quality monitors. Apply local data filtering to ensure only the most relevant information is transmitted, enabling smarter, condition-based maintenance decisions.
Maintenance when it really matters
Why spend time on unnecessary maintenance or wait for failures to happen? Continuous monitoring gives you real-time insights into your equipment and processes.
We make use of the sensors you already have and add new ones where they provide extra value, like vibration or oil quality monitors. Local data filtering ensures only the most important information is sent on, helping you make smarter, condition-based decisions that reduce downtime and cut costs.
